2008 South Central Jurisdictional Conference

The 2008 South Central Jurisdictional Conference was July 15-19 in Dallas, Texas at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. The NTC and the Local Arrangements Committee played a significant role in the successful conference.

In the first episcopal election. Bishop Earl Bledsoe was elected at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, July 17, with 186 votes of 294 cast.
There was a second election on the 11th ballot. Bishop Mike Lowry was elected mid-morning Friday, July 18, with 189 of 295 votes cast.
There was a third and final election on the 23rd ballot. Bishop Jim Dorff was elected with 187 votes at 10:17 p.m. Friday. Consecration service videostream will be archived and posted soon on the NTC website.
At 1:35 a.m. Saturday, July 19, the SCJ heard the episcopal assignments for the next four years. The NTC is honored that the Episcopal Committee assigned Bishop W. Earl Bledsoe as our episcopal leader. He and spouse, Leslie, will begin their new ministry here in September.
