Accountability Group - Annual Conference Update

Since the 2005 North Texas Annual Conference, the Accountability Group consisting of the Commission on Religion and Race, the Commission on the Status and Role of Women (COSROW) and the Resource Person Oversight Committee has accomplished the following:

• Co-hosted with the Black Methodist for Church Renewal (BMCR) the Annual Religion and Race Luncheon, featuring Dr. Hal Recinos as guest speaker.
• Presented Sally Vonner with the Religion and Race 2006 Inclusiveness Award.
• Hosted and moderated the Annual Ethnic Dialogue for Racial Ethnic Churches in the North Texas Conference on February 17, 2006 at Hamilton Park United Methodist Church.
• Co-hosted with COSROW and Clergy Women the 2006 Annual Conference Luncheon celebrating the NTC Clergywomen and the 50th Anniversary of Clergy Women's Full Rights in the United Methodist Church.
• Met with chairs of coordinating groups responsible for the Commission on Religion and Race (CORR) Site Review priorities to discuss progress.
• Suggested modifications to the NTC nomination form.
